Prize Distribution Ceremony for Afghan Refugees Vocational Training

 The prize distribution ceremony for vocational training was held on 7th January 2016 for Afghan Refugees. The vocational training was imparted by Union Aid for Afghan Refugees UARR).

 

 The prize distribution ceremony for vocational training was held on 7th January 2016 for Afghan Refugees. The vocational training was imparted by Union Aid for Afghan Refugees UARR). The honorable Commissioner Afghan Refugees KP Mr. Abbas Khan was the chief guest.

While speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner appreciated the efforts of UAAR for creating income generation opportunities for Afghan Refugees in Khyber Pakhtunkwa. He further said that such vocation skills will enhance the economic opportunities for income generation.

Later on Mr. Waqar Maroof, Additional Commissioner (HQs) congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the training course. He further said that such vocational training will greatly benefit the Afghan Refugees for sulf-sustainablity and earning decent livelihood. He also paid rich tributes to UAAR for making the training a success and hope to conduct further vocational trainings for refugees in order to enhance their economic conditions.

Commissionerate Afghan Refugees was established in 1979 under the Federal Government Orders to facilitate the Afghan Refugees who were crossing the borders and coming into Pakistan to find refuge due to the ongoing war in Afghanistan.

There is a Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) in each Province of the country and having the Chief Commissionerate (CCAR) based in Islamabad. All the Commissionerates and the Chief Commissioner work under the Ministry of SAFRON, Islamabad.
