Management of Afghan Refugees camps throughout the province and their look after in the field of Education, Health, Community Development and Water/Sanitation.

During the last three decades the CAR has acquired expertise of human resource in the above mentioned sectors which is now also being utilized to provide training to staff of partners and stake holders as and when they require.

In the IDPs sector also, the CAR has also been involved in the management, administration and coordination (CCCM Cluster) of IDPs camps in the province, adopting the modern cluster approach through which a very concentrated, productive and supportive approach has been taken in providing relief and assistance to the IDPs because of earthquake, conflict and floods.

We encourage all partners working in the humanitarian field to come forward for any support, trainings they may required through CAR in the above mentioned sectors of expertise CAR has acquired.

About CAR

Commissionerate Afghan Refugees was established in 1979 under the Federal Government Orders to facilitate the Afghan Refugees who were crossing the borders and coming into Pakistan to find refuge due to the ongoing war in Afghanistan.

There is a Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) in each Province of the country and having the Chief Commissionerate (CCAR) based in Islamabad. All the Commissionerates and the Chief Commissioner work under the Ministry of SAFRON, Islamabad.
