The Commissioner Afghan Refugees KP Mr. Muhammad Abbas Khan visited Akora Camp on Friday 9th October 2015 and held meeting with elders of the camp. Later on he also visited Afghan Refugee schools in the camp and met with the teaching staff and students of different grades.

It is worth-mentioning to note that Commissionerate Afghan Refugees is looking after all educational activities in respect of AR Schools in camps as well as in urban areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Primary, Middle & Secondary level schools registered by Commissionerate Afghan Refugees, are run by local community on self-help basis. Attestation of the academic certificates of the AR students in Primary, Middle & Secondary Schools, and issuance of service certificates in respect of the school staff is the mandate of CAR. The facilitation of admissions of Afghan Refugee candidates in various Educational Institutions in Pakistan from School cadre up to University level, professional & non-professional colleges are also done by the Commissionerate Afghan Refugees KP.
